The Beggining

I woke up on Saturday and suddenly realized the last 8 weeks of my life have flown by ... So quickly.
See 8 weeks ago I gave birth to a little human! Our little human, Kai Dieter Borngraber.  While Klaus and I sat on our bed staring at the rat, I realized how much I am forgetting already.  These happy hormones surely work hard and fast. There are so many little things I know I want to remember and never forget, hence this blog.

I guess its also a way for me to record some of Kai's little memories, he can look back and when he can read, hopefully enjoy some of his little moments, like right now ... a little hick-up and a big fart :)!

A little more info about me.  I am a practical logical super organised lister maniac.  I am an accountant, BUT I love being creative and messy! I love spending time in the kitchen doing a big of baking here and there, trying  a new recipe, and making a huge mess.  I hate to clean up though!  I dont eat red meat or pork!  Stupid national geograpic show put me off meat about 5 years ago.  Still love fish and I mean I love fish anything from the ocean really and I can do chicken!

Being the practical organized freak that I am I guess it will only be right to start from the beginnig, as a little intro to who we are....The Three Borngrabers ...

Klaus and I met way back in 1999.  I instantly new I was gonna marry this guy, he had a yellow beatle parked in his driveway, and I always use to say I am gonna marry a guy who drives a yellow beatle... Poor man did not stand a chance!

We tied the knot in 2004 in the Tokia forest on Valentines day,in a happy informal barefoot fairy themed svary.  I only invted the people whom I really wanted there.  Thats me, I dont follow the rules, I make my own.  There were no "have to invites" on our list.

We had a little house built  the same year. It was small and cute, and we nursed and loved it so much.  In 2009 we decided it was time to move, we bought a new house, a little bigger, a little nicer, and now a little fuller.

Last year we started talking bout MAYBE starting a family, and before we knew what hit us, the little pink line appeared on the stick!  On 9 December 2010 we officially found out we were pregnant.  Shocked and excited, we tried to keep it a secret for a little while but that did not work.  I guess the "pregnant glow" hit me early and hard, everyone just knew and we were so lucky to have so much support!

And here we are, 10 months down the line.  Life with a new born has been a real change, but its fun and we are coping so well...

I am enjoying my time as a at home Mom for now till January, and while I have the time, hopefully I will use it wisely, and blog away regularly!

Lets see how well it goes.
